d*weekend 2019

February 11, 2019

Good afternoon parents and students!

d*weekend 2019is coming up quick! I hope you are as excited about our biggest event of the year as I am. Registration for d*weekend has been live for a while now and I've seen a good number of your students registered which is great! For those of you who have not yet registered your student, please do so as timely as possible. It helps me with planning this massive event to have students registered sooner than later.

This year's d*weekend will easily be the best one we've ever put on. With many other churches partnering with us, we have really cool opportunities that we have not had in the past. One such opportunity is a pack-a-thon that we will be participating in with a number of the other churches represented. What a fun way to get our students interacting with students from other places and churches all while packing tens of thousands of meals for those in need. Then, I know that our speaker this year is going to be top notch, and, of course, the music will be outstanding.

A major push for our student ministry this year is for them to have eyes, ears, and hearts that are FOR the people in their lives who don't know Jesus. Your students are being challenged every week to think of people they can be having Gospel conversations with and people they could be inviting to church services and events. However, if this is not something they are seeing modeled by their parents and guardians at home, then how can we expect them to put it into practice? So I want to challenge YOU as well, parents. d*weekend is an event where students have surrendered their lives to Christ in both years that I've been at Rich Fork. I know God is ready to do an amazing work this year as well. Who in your life is someone who does not currently have a relationship with Christ? Do they have 7th-12th grade kids? If so, then what an awesome opportunity d*weekend could be for YOU to invite someone to attend who does not YET know Christ. Think about it. Pray about it. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Lastly, in case you missed it, our Student Ministry calendar has been available since the end of last year. It's the best way to keep up with everything we have going on in the student ministry. You can click the button above to see/download it or visit www.richforkstudents.com.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding d*weekend. Also, let me know if you're interested in helping at all with the weekend. With as big as it will be this year, the more help I can have, the better! Thanks for trusting me with your kids. Let's keep being broken before the Lord in asking Him to raise up this generation to usher in His Kingdom!

Warm Regards,
