Good afternoon parents and students!
It has been quite a while since my last newsletter! I apologize for the lack of communication. These have been some very busy months both in the ministry as well as in our home. My wife and I just welcomed our second child into the world this Tuesday so we are adjusting to life as a family of four. We've heard from a lot of you about praying for us and offering to help which we have appreciated so much. Even if I haven't responded to all of your individual messages to us, please know that they have been a huge encouragement to us.
It's hard to believe that we have already reached the beginning of October. Time is flying by this semester! We have a few things coming up on our calendar that you need to be aware or reminded of. Our Middle School Lock-Out is happening in a few weeks on October 27. Then our High School Fall Retreat will be happening on the weekend of November 10. For more on each of these events, please visit www.richforkstudents.com/events. You will also find registration links for each of those events on that page. We also have several other smaller scale events planned over the course of the next few months. The best way to keep up with it all is to click on our homepage to download the all-new Rich Fork Students quarterly calendar. This will help you keep up with everything that is going on in our student ministry.
Who is someone you know that has a student that is currently not connected in any church? If we want to see our student ministry grow, it will happen because you have a heart that is burdened for the lost! Your students have been encouraged throughout this semester to have eyes to see and ears to hear. We want to notice the people in our lives that we can be a light to and we want to be available to be an encouragement to someone every day. But if your student is not seeing that exemplified through your life, then how will we expect them to do it? You and I are a team. I am here to help you and equip you as a parent so that we can train up and send off powerful disciples of Christ ready to change their world. Please let me know of ways I can help you be the best teacher you can be for your students at this crucial stage in their lives. It has always been my deep desire to see our students take the next steps in their faith. Let's keep working together to make that happen!
Thanks for giving me the privilege of ministering to your students! It is my great joy.
